Pronunciation Tips
Before we begin, there are several ways to phonetically spell Spanish words to elicit a more correct pronunciation of that word. In this course you will see phonetic spellings to indicate sounds used in the Spanish language. You may also see different phonetic spellings, or syllabic differences for the same word dependent upon usage within a sentence. For example:Gracias=grah-SEEAHS or grah-SEE-ahs
Police=poh-lee-SEEAH or poh-lee-SEE-ah
Nueve=NWEH-veh or NOOEH-veh
Soy=SOH-ee or SOHY
Pequeño=peh-kayn-NYOH or peh-keh-NYOH
Está=eh-STAH or EH-stah
Correr=KOHR-reh or KOH-rreh
